Anxiety & OCD Therapy for Young Adults and Moms in West Boylston, MA

Helping university students and anxious moms move through their anxiety, depression, OCD, pervasive fears, and racing and intrusive thoughts.

Hi, I’m Jennifer Chatelle –

I employ a compassionate approach to therapy that relies upon my unique understanding of the challenges faced by anxious mothers and young adults alike.

As a devoted mom of four daughters now entering their teen and early adult years, I intimately know the intricacies of juggling family life and personal well-being. I fully acknowledge that sometimes it takes an anxious mom to know one!

In the earlier stages of my career, I built a reputation as a trusted therapist for kids challenged by anxiety, and now I also support anxious parents, as well as parents concerned about their anxious children. I provide parents with a playbook to understand and address anxiety in their children, empowering them with effective strategies to foster growth and resilience.

I also enjoy working with college-aged individuals, especially females grappling with anxiety, body image and self-esteem issues. My goal is to provide a safe haven for those navigating the complexities of young adulthood.

Does this sound like you?

If you’re experiencing trouble sleeping, lack of motivation, feeling overwhelmed, panic attacks, physical anxiety symptoms, feeling on edge or afraid to do new things – these things do not have to be a part of your “normal”.

Together, we can address the root cause of the issue, and help you to develop specific skills to overcome anxiety, depression and/or obsessive-compulsive behaviors.

I work with clients who both have a history of anxiety or OCD symptoms, and with new moms who developed them during the postpartum period.

Specialties

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a highly effective type of therapy for anxiety disorders, helping individuals to identify the thought patterns that drive behavior and guiding them to replacing those patterns with other, more helpful ones.

Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP-T)

ERP-T helps those with obsessive-compulsive behaviors to develop strategies to help them break free from the overwhelming cycle of obsession and compulsion.

Both of my preferred therapy modalities offer a structured approach that yields tangible results. While I am always happy to support my clients on an ongoing basis, the typical duration of treatment is 8-14 sessions.
