Therapy for OCD & Phobias

You don’t have to live with behaviors that disrupt your daily life. If you find yourself obsessively checking the same things over and over again, having difficulty leaving the house unless everything is just right, or any behavior that is persistent and disruptive, we can work together to manage fear and anxiety with new coping skills and strategies.

OCD and phobias are specific types of anxiety disorders that I have worked with throughout my entire career.

 I work with my clients using the structured approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP-T), to provide my clients with the skills they require to overcome their OCD or fear-based behaviors.

CBT and ERP-T provide a time-limited and intensive framework for overcoming unwanted behavior and are more effective than other methods such as traditional talk therapy. Most of my clients and I work together for 8-14 sessions total, meeting one to two times per week.

While we are able to accomplish a lot in a limited amount of time, my approach to ERP is patient and collaborative. I will work with you to establish the pace of exposure that you are most comfortable with.
